Whole Brain Feedback promotes the concept of developing and utilizing all four brain quadrants, not just relying on a preferred one. The Neethling Brain Instrument (NBI®) is a suite of neuroscience-based assessments that help individuals understand their thinking preferences. It divides the brain into four quadrants (Analytical, Practical, Relational, and Experimental) and identifies an individual’s preferred quadrant. This knowledge can be used to improve communication, leadership, team dynamics, and various other aspects of personal and professional life.
By engaging all four quadrants, individuals can unlock their full creative potential. But how can we use our insight into the whole brain to understand and accommodate different communication, leadership and, team dynamics styles?
Your Whole Brain profile will give you an insight into the type of manager that you prefer and how that impacts your followership style. It will highlight issues that are important to you (but maybe not to your employer or colleagues) and even where there could be room for improvement!
The Whole Brain profile assesses thinking preferences and not the skills or abilities necessary to execute these preferences. It is therefore possible that an individual could have a very strong preference for order, planning and organisation in a manager, but has never had the opportunity to develop these skills him/herself.
